- 1). Place the new filter to the mounting bracket. Ensure the arrow on the filter is pointing toward the front of the vehicle. The arrow designates fuel flow.
- 2). Tighten the bolt holding the mounting bracket to the frame with a socket wrench. This will lock the filter in place.
- 3). Slide the fuel line coming from the fuel tank to the rear of the filter. Push the line on to the filter until it clicks. Attempt to slide it off the line, and if it does not move, then it is locked in place.
- 4). Slide the fuel line going toward the front of the vehicle onto the forward end of the filter. Push the fuel line on until it clicks. Attempt to slide this one off as well. If it does not move, then it is installed correctly.
- 5). Start the vehicle and observe the filter while the vehicle is running. Look for any leaks around the filter or fuel line.
