On April 15, 2009, the media ban restriction on Sierra was lifted after she tested clean and sober for about a year and a half.
In a taped interview she attributed Dr. Drew Pinsky to saving her life.

She has since participated on the television show "Celebrity Rehab" as an alumni, speaking to a new group of addicts, which was aired in the third season episode "Triggers."
