- 1). Open the hood of your Corolla and unplug the electrical connector running to the wiper motor mounted on the firewall. The electrical connector runs off of the main engine harness, which is tied and clipped (using plastic retaining clips) to the firewall along with the wiper motor.
- 2). Unbolt the wiper motor from the firewall using a socket wrench.
- 3). Slide the wiper motor off the wiper linkage.
- 4). Orient the new wiper motor so that it slides onto the wiper motor linkage and bolt the wiper motor in place to the firewall using a socket wrench and the factory mounting bolts.
- 5). Reconnect the electrical connector to the wiper motor.
