To most OF businesses have a Twitter or Facebook profiles (or both) to create interact with their audiences and to get as much promotion as possible. And to not missing out free exposure to new customers and website visitors.
This post will give you 4 important tips to becoming successful in social media:
1. Contribute and be active
To get a lot of attention is not enough just to write updates and news statuses.
Instead, create a discussion, surprise, be creative and give your friends/fans a good reason to be active in responding to your page.
Think about the goals you want to achieve through social media accounts: want to get a lot of exposure? Want to increase sales? Provide support to customers?...
All these are possible when your accounts are active and contribute to discourse.

2. Do not waste valuable time:
Do not waste time on nonsense instead of being effective. You may find yourself reading an interesting tweets or messages all day without contributing to your business in general.
This wastes time and happens to everyone, so make sure you out of it and start contributing or no one will find you!

3. Links
Design your social media accounts so that they will help each other,
Publish your Facebook page at your Twitter page and published in your Twitter account at your Facebook profile.
This way they help each other out and raise your followers/fans count. On your website and blog be sure to provide links to your Twitter and Facebook page. Why not include a share bar as well, instruction on how to make one can be found here.

4. Design Brand
Carry your brand throughout all your social activity and marketing. Make sure your logo is clearly displayed on each network.
You can also design a twitter background with your brand’s colors. This way your fans s will recognize the profile they are viewing. Facebook cannot be customized like twitter but make sure you provide links back to your website and blog.

The Most important thing is to be consistent. Remember to keep your profiles active and keep people interested in your business and what you have to say!!
