- 1). Strip the ends off of the three wires using the wire strippers.
- 2). Solder a black wire to the violet positive (VLD) contact on the Blu-ray laser diode. Solder a white wire to the gray Ground (GND) contact on the Blu-ray laser diode.
- 3). Take the laser housing and twist it between your hands to separate the front shell from the back shell. Remove the laser diode sticking up from the back shell using the tweezers. Place the Blu-ray laser diode into the now vacant holes in the back shell of the laser housing.
- 4). Unscrew the nose cone of the Phaser toy gun. Remove the light bulb from inside of the nose. Remove the screws from the body of the Phaser toy gun using the jeweler's screwdriver. Unscrew the battery compartment and remove the battery.
- 5). Take the black light bulb bracket from the front of the Phaser toy gun and place the laser housing against the bracket with the wires trailing at the back. Attach the laser housing to the bracket with bonding glue. Let the bonding glue dry.
- 6). Solder the black wire from the 9-volt battery snap to the switch. Solder the black wire from the laser housing to the switch.
- 7). Solder the red wire from the 9-volt battery snap to one end of the resistor. Solder the white wire from the laser housing to the other end of the resistor.
- 8). Place the black light bulb bracket back into position at the nose of the Phaser toy gun.
- 9). Attach the 9-volt battery to the battery snap and place it inside of the Phaser's handle. Shuffle all of the wiring inside of the Phaser.

Remove the trigger and replace it with the switch peeking out from the hold where the switch was. - 11
