- 1). Turn off the power for the two circuits you are working on at the home's distribution panel. This requires opening two separate breakers. Confirm the power is off by touching a non-contact voltage detector to the wire's insulation.
- 2). Strip 3/8 of an inche of insulation off the end of both circuit's three wires with wire strippers.
- 3). Loosen the electrical terminal screws in the two-circuit track light with a screwdriver.
- 4). Separate the two circuits' black, white and green, or bare wires from each other.
- 5). Wrap the white wire from circuit one around the terminal marked "Neutral 1" and tighten it down. Wrap the black wire from circuit one around the terminal marked "Line1" and tighten it down.
- 6). Wrap the white wire from circuit two around the terminal marked "Neutral 1" and tighten it down. Wrap the black wire from circuit two around the terminal marked "Line1" and tighten it down.
- 7). Wrap both green or bare wires around the terminal marked "Ground" and tighten it down.
