How to Install Fog Lights on a Tsx

    • 1). Remove the screw bolts holding the bumper in place using a philips head screwdriver or a socket wrench.

    • 2). Remove the plastic rivets holding the inner wheel lining to the bumper by prying up on the rivets with a flat head screwdriver.

    • 3). Slide the bumper off the frame and lay it on a flat surface.

    • 4). Remove the fog light place holders. You will need to cut the plastic tabs that hold the place holders to the bumper.

    • 5). Insert the fog light assembly into the hole you made with the lens facing towards the outside of the bumper. Secure the fog light housing to the bumper bracket using the supplied screws in your fog light kit.

    • 6). Connect the electrical wiring to the fog lights. There will be three plugs on the wiring harness for the fog lights. The large plugs on each end plug into the fog light assembly you installed on the bumper. One side of the wiring harness has two plugs, a larger one and a smaller one. The smaller one is a 1-pin connector. This end of the wiring harness should be plugged into the driver's side fog light, as the 1-pin connector plug is the plug for the control switch.

    • 7). Tie the wiring harness to the bumper's grille with zip-ties.

    • 8). Reattach the bumper to the TSX.

    • 9). Route the wiring harness through the engine bay and towards the firewall. Secure the ground wire to the frame in the engine bay. Find a free bolt hole and bolt the ground wire connector to the frame. The exact mounting location for the ground wire will differ according to the year of your Acura.

    • 10

Route the wiring harness from the engine bay into the passenger cabin through the rubber access grommet in the firewall and open the fuse box access panel.

    • 11

Plug the 6-pin connector into the free 6-pin empty slot in the fuse box.

    • 12

Push the plastic blank for the fog lights out. Reach up behind the dash and push the blank forward to remove it.

    • 13

Insert the fog light switch into the hole left by the blank from behind the dash.

    • 14

Plug the remaining 1-pin connector into the back of the fog light switch.

    • 15

Secure the switch ground wire to the frame. Remove an existing grounding bolt and slide the grounding wire washer for the fog light switch over a grounding bolt and then re-tighten it.
