Hi, I'm Sara Holliday from fitbysara.com, and I'm going to show you when to inhale or exhale when exerting your muscle during strength training. So, you want to exhale whenever exerting a muscle. That means whenever you feel the muscle contracting or working. So, I just want to show you example of a bicep curl. You're just going to bring your hands, palm up, the elbows in at the sides and as you bring the hands up, you feel the muscles tightening, that's when you're going to exhale. So, "Shhh", and I inhale as I'm lowering down, exhale as I'm lifting, "Shhh". "Shhh." "Shhh." Another example for the shoulders, same kind of thing, whenever I'm lifting or I'm feeling the muscle working that's when I'm going to exhale. So, "Shhh", "Shhh", "Shhh".
