- 1). Open the hood for access to the engine compartment. Locate the cabin air filter housing at the back of the engine compartment under the cowl vent screen.
- 2). Unscrew the cowl vent screen by loosening the screws by hand. Lift the screen up and out.
- 3). Pull the sectional rubber cushion out of the way. Lift it up and pull out towards the middle of the vehicle. Pull the cowl vent screen by hand.
- 4). Open the retaining clips holding the filter frame in place. Pull the frame and the old element out of the frame base.
- 5). Insert the new filter by pushing it in to the base. Ensure the two ends of the filter frame go in to the outer pockets. This will lock the filter in to the base.
- 6). Insert the vent screen on to the filter housing. Cover with the rubber cushion.
- 7). Tighten the vent screws to secure the cowl vent. Close the hood.
