This HP compatible 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver, model C01CO101, operates at a wavelength of 850 nm. It features an operating data rate from 9.95 to 10.3 Gbps, low power dissipation and RoHS compliance.
This optical transceiver consists of two sections: the transmitter section uses an 850 nm VCSEL laser and converts 10 Gbps serial PECL or CML electrical data into serial optical data, the PIN receiver section converts 10 Gbps serial optical data into PECL or CML electrical data.
With duplex LC connectors for fiber cable connection, the transceiver boasts a long transmission distance of up to 550 m over 50/125 m MMF and 300 m over 62.5/125 m MMF.
In addition, it provides digital diagnostic functions. Its electrical interface is compliant with SFF-8431 and the optical interface is compliant with IEEE802.3ae 10GBASE-SR/SW.
