- 1). Boot up your local computer, log in and connect to the Internet.
- 2). Open the computer's Start Menu, click on "All Programs," then on "Accessories", then on "Remote Desktop Connection."
- 3). Click in the "Computer" field of the window that appears, then type in the IP address of the workplace computer and press "Enter" or click "Connect."
- 4). Type in the login information you use when you log in to your workplace computer at work, then click "OK" or press "Enter" to access the computer over the web.
