My name is Robert Weeks. I'm a mixed martial artist. Today, I'm at Main Event Sports Club and I'm going to be showing you how to do the Bruce Lee finger push-up. The focal energy it requires to do Bruce Lee's one finger push-up is extreme. It takes years of conditioning and a lot and lot of core strength. In order to practice this exercise, you must first learn how to do a one armed push-up. After you are able to do that you want to learn how to do a push-up on your knuckles. You want to teach your wrist and your arms the strength and fingers I should say, the strength that is necessary to distill what it's going to require just to do this one exercise. When placing yourself on the mat, you want to make sure that your thumb is pivoted in a point where it will not be picked up or moved again. So you're going to want to make sure that it can rely upon your whole body weight when you rest it on the ground. You want to lock your other arm behind your back almost your wrist to your lower back so that it's locked in a position that it won't try to fly out and protect you or try to rest upon itself when doing the push-up. When lowering yourself to the mat, you want to make sure that you have a lot of focus power onto your fingers at your wrist as all your energy and body weight is directed to those points at the bottom of the push-up. Allow yourself proper time to breathe and release that and properly bring yourself back up in the right form while controlling your arm on your back and keeping your back straight. You do not want to be bowing to one side or losing posture because that will have signs that your muscles are not ready for this exercise. And that's how you do Bruce Lee's finger push-up. See you guys next time.
