It's not always easy to get in shape and it's even more difficult to stay in shape once you get there.
So how do we motivate ourselves to keep on training and working hard? Positive thinking is the start and then taking positive action starts after that.
Let's look a a couple of things to keep in mind.
(1) If you have a fitness goal don't think that you are trying to reach it.
That is weak mental programming and I can tell you now that the chances of failing with that type of thinking is pretty good.
Rather say to yourself, I am reaching my goal, say it in the present tense so your brain can program itself to work on the goal.
There should be no language like"I'm trying".
Rather say, "I am going to the gym 4 times this week".
(2) You have to start making decisions in your life.
If you want get fit then make the decision to do it.
It should be a done deal.
That's how winners think.
It sounds harsh but its true.
It is this mental attitude that will take you to places.
Just ask any elite athlete.
(3) This might sound mystical or new age but it's true.
The universe starts helping you if you have strong intentions or a strong mindset towards something.
It is almost like magic when you start believing 150% that something is happening.
Visualize it, believe it and you will start seeing amazing things happen.
I cant explain it but its just the way things work.
Give it a try.
You will start seeing all kinds of obstacles taken out of your way.
Try getting this mental game in your approach to your workout and your life and you will start seeing things change.
Haven't you noticed how great champions always seem to be even more lucky than the rest.
For example Tiger Woods is really talented and he always seem to have luck on his side too.
That is the power of positive thinking for you.
Magic starts happening.
So go out there and make it happen.
