- 1). Fill a long, shallow container three-quarters full with warm water.
- 2). Place the bamboo skewers into the water. Ensure the skewers are completely submerged.
- 3). Allow the bamboo skewers to soak in the water for 30 to 60 minutes.
- 4). Remove the skewers from the water and immediately thread on the raw food.
- 5). Cook the skewered food within 30 minutes of removing the skewers from the water, to ensure the bamboo skewers do not dry out and catch fire.
