- 1). Remove other components in order to access the headlight bulb. If replacing the low-beam bulb, remove the two fasteners holding the splash shield in place and pull the shield away from the area. If you are replacing the high-beam bulb on the driver's side, then you will need to remove the air intake cover located in front of the battery.
- 2). Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlight bulb socket by depressing the release lever at the bottom of the connector and pulling the connector off. Set the connector aside. Remove the bulb socket from the headlight housing by turning it counterclockwise 45 degrees and pulling outward.
- 3). Align the lugs on the socket of the new bulb with the slots on the socket mounting hole. Insert the new bulb into the mounting hole and rotate it clockwise 45 degrees until it stops turning. Replace the electrical connector and verify that the new headlight bulb operates correctly. If necessary, replace the air intake cover and/or the splash shield if you removed it prior to bulb replacement.
