- 1). Take a sample of your grout to a paint store and have them match the color. Purchase a quart because the job will probably not require a lot of paint.
- 2). Cut the end off a tube of white acrylic latex caulk about ¼ of an inch with a utility knife. Insert a nail into the tip of the tube to puncture the seal.
- 3). Insert the tube of caulk into the caulk gun and press the trigger until the force plate is snug in the bottom of the tube.
- 4). Apply a bead of caulk and then run your finger over the top to create a smooth surface. Wait at least 12 hours for the caulk to dry.
- 5). Place strips of painter's tape on each side of the caulk.
- 6). Open the quart of paint with a flathead screwdriver and then mix the paint with a paint stirrer.
- 7). Apply paint to the caulk with a paintbrush. Wait about an hour for the paint to begin drying and then remove the painter's tape.
