- 1). Measure and cut the tulle fabric into three 6-yard pieces.
- 2). Separate the two parts of the embroidery hoop and set aside the larger half momentarily.
- 3). Insert the end of a tulle fabric piece through the center of the smaller hoop and pull it through until it sits at the center point of the tulle. Repeat the same process with each tulle piece.
- 4). Position the three tulle pieces so they sit an equal distance apart along the hoop. Hold the tulle in place and place the second half of the embroidery hoop over the other half to secure the tulle fabric between the two parts. Tighten the hoop by screwing the screw several turns to ensure that the tulle fabric will not move.
- 5). Determine the position you desire for hanging the canopy above the bed, above the top half of the bed, generally. Make four pencil marks in a square, each mark about 12 inches apart to install the four eyehooks in the ceiling.
- 6). Screw each eyehook into the ceiling by hand. Because the tulle canopy will be light, standard eyehooks will be sufficient.
- 7). Cut four 2-foot lengths of fishing line. Insert each fishing line through an eyehook and pass the line through until the hook is at the center point of the fishing line. Tie each fishing line around the embroidery hoop, spacing the lines an equal distance around the hoop. Make sure you tie the fishing lines in a tight double knot.
- 8). Arrange the tulle as it hangs down from the hoop above the bed. Trim the tulle fabric if it seems too long.
