- 1). Cut the adhesive paper to a size slightly smaller than the photograph. Cutting smaller than the photo will prevent the glue on the paper from seeping onto the photo.
- 2). Separate the two sheets of adhesive paper. The glue will remain on one sheet of paper.
- 3). Place the photo, face down, on a hard, flat surface. Align the sticky side of the paper to the back of the photo. Press firmly with a roller to transfer the glue to the back of the photo.
- 4). Turn the photo facing up. Crop the outer edge of the photo by placing a metal ruler along the edge and cut with a razor knife.
- 5). Mark the matte board with a light pencil mark to indicate where to place the photo. The pencil mark should be slightly smaller than the size of the photo to ensure the picture will cover the mark.
- 6). Peel the sticky paper away from the back of the photo and place it carefully on the matte board. The photo cannot be repositioned once it has been placed on the matte board.
- 1). Crop the photo using a metal ruler and a sharp razor knife. You will not be able to crop the photo once it has been sprayed.
- 2). Mark the matte board with a light pencil mark to indicate the placement of the photo. Mark the guidelines slightly smaller than the actual size of the photo to ensure the pencil mark will be covered.
- 3). Place the photo facing down on a clean paper and spray the back of the photo with adhesive spray. Completely cover all the edges and corners with the spray.
- 4). Place the sprayed side of the picture within the guidelines on the mat board. Cover the photo with clean paper and press the photo to the matte board. Use a wood roller to adhere it to the matte board.
- 1). Crop the picture to remove the white edge or any other unwanted parts of the photo.
- 2). Mark the matte board with a light pencil mark to indicate the placement of the photo. Mark the guidelines slightly smaller than the actual size of the photo to ensure the pencil mark will be covered.
- 3). Place the photo on a hard surface with the photo facing down. Cover the back of the photo with paste and a craft brush. Some glues have a brush attached to the bottom of the lid. Carefully apply to the edges and corners without allowing glue to seep over to the pictures.
- 4). Place the photo within the marked area on the matte board. Cover the photo with clean paper and roll the photo to adhere to the matte.
- 5). Lay a sheet of glass over the photo to apply even pressure. Allow the glue to dry for four to 24 hours.
