- 1). Open a Web browser on your computer, and type "192.196.1.1" into your browser's address field.
- 2). Log in to the router at the prompt by entering "admin" in both the username and password fields that appear, and then click "OK" to enter the router main menu.
- 3). Click "Automatic Configuration - DHCP" at the "Internet Connection type" field box.
- 4). Enter the username and password your ISP assigned to you in the respective fields below the "Internet Connection Type" box.
- 5). Click "Save Changes" to save the router settings. The router connects to the Internet automatically.
