In this part of 'Creating An Online Business 101' we will look at how to get exclusive leads online.
This means getting targeted leads that want what you are selling that are exclusive leads because YOU created them.
This is a critical part of finding success that most online businesses never learn how to do properly.
Just because you have a website doesn't mean people are going to find it.
Without proper online marketing your website may be stranded on the web with zero traffic.
Lets see how to prevent this from happening to you.
How To Get Exclusive Leads Online For Free There are plenty of ways to produce targeted leads for your online business.
There are very effective ways that of course cost money like banner ads on high traffic sites and pay per click (also referred to as PPC).
These methods of online leads generation are great ways to drive traffic to your site, but I want to concentrate on free online lead generation since the average business owner usually has limited funds to work with.
There are plenty of free methods of leads generation for your online business but were going to look at article, video and forum marketing.
When you know what your customers are looking for its easy to give them what they want.
(The next article will go over keywords and how to find out EXACTLY what your customers are looking for.
) Since you know what your leads want its easy to put out content (articles, videos, blogs) that they are interested in.
Using sites like EzineArticles.
com, YouTube.
com and many other authority sites, you can produce articles and videos that interest your customers and bring them to your site.
How Free Online Lead Generation Works Using an authority site is very important since your site is new and doesn't have much pull with the search engines like Google and yahoo.
What this means is that an authority site like EzineArticles.
com and YouTube.
com has been around for a while and has LOTS of content on them, making them more recognized by the search engines.
So, if you post an article or video on an authority site its more likely to come up in the search results in Google or yahoo when someone searches for it.
An Example Of Online Lead Generation Lets say your online business is selling 'dog treats' and you know people are searching specifically for 'healthy dog treats'.
What you would do is write an article or make a video using one of the authority sites that is about "How To Choose The Best Healthy Dog Treats".
If done correctly your article or video will eventually show up in the search results for Google and yahoo when someone searches for "healthy dog treats" or other similar search terms.
Once the person sees your article or video they have the option of clicking on a link to your website, which many times they do.
If you do enough articles and videos on subjects relevant to your online business new leads will continue to increase and so will sales of your product.
