- 1). Twist, clump and knot sections of your black pants, securing each section with a rubber band. You can make as little or as many sections as you would like. You can make it random or secure a rubber band to even sections of both pant legs, depending on whether you want the bleach marking to be uniform or not.
- 2). Put on rubber gloves.
- 3). Fill a large bucket with about four to five parts water to one part bleach.
- 4). Submerge your jeans in the solution for about five to 10 minutes. Check the jeans about every two minutes or so to see if it has faded to your liking, putting it back in the water if you want them faded further.
- 5). Place the bleached jeans in a bucket of water to thoroughly rinse the bleach from them.
- 6). Wash the jeans in the washing machine as you normally would, using detergent, then hang to dry completely before wearing.
