Understanding the Costs of Car Graphics

There is a good probability that while you are driving down the road, you will see a vehicle decked out in car graphics.
In recent years, this has become a popular method of advertising that many business owners are choosing.
While it is true that these vehicle graphics will help to boost business, you do need to understand that the process does have some costs associated with it.
Many of the companies who offer this form of advertising will require that you meet with them.
During this time, you are going to be asked what your ideas are going to be.
The company will take any graphics that you have and decide what will best suit your needs.
Typically, the consultation will have a fee associated with it, but if you finalize a purchase many companies are willing to tie the cost of the consultation into the final price.
After your consultation, your ideas combined with the vision the graphic designer has will be then drafted into a graphics design.
This will usually take a bit of time and based on how detailed you want the graphic to be, the more costly the result will be.
For a unique design, you are going to be paying around $1,000.
This can be more or less if you are looking for some exclusive branding added into your car graphics.
If you have a company logo in place already, ensure you have a quality image that can be increased without compromising the image's value.
Once the design has been approved, it will be sent off to a printer.
While there, they are going to produce your vehicle graphics based on your demands.
The amount of the vehicle they are going to cover and whether you are looking for perforated window film or a wraparound that bypasses the windows will affect the price.
On average a basic laminated and printed vinyl design is going to run you about $10 per square foot.
If you are looking to go more complex and include perforated vinyl for your windows, you can anticipate the price range to be anywhere from $15 - $20 per square foot.
The final cost that will be associated with this will be the installation.
This will run you from around the $500 to about $1,000 for larger vehicles.
It is important that you don't end up going cheap in this area as poorly installed car graphics are going to fall apart and start to look terrible in a relatively short period of time.
Of course, these price ranges can vary to a degree between companies.
You will want to be sure that you check with several different companies that offer graphics for vehicles and work on gathering some preliminary quotes and check their previous work examples.
By doing that, you are going to increase the chances of finding a designer that is going to give you some of the best results you will be able to find for this form of advertising.
