- If your Kia Sedona's CD player fails to properly accept or play CDs, a power supply fuse may be to blame. Locate the fuse box and check the diagram on the box cover for a fuse labeled "Stereo." Disconnect the fuse, wait at least 20 seconds for the player to reset and reconnect the fuse.
- The Kia Sedona's anti-theft control module receives a signal from the lock cylinder, which reads a chip in a Sedona ignition key. A bad anti-theft control module may not accept this signal and immobilize, or disengage, the engine, resulting in difficulty starting the Sedona. Replace the anti-theft control module to resolve the starting problems.
- The stop lamp switch in a Sedona, which signals the transmission to shift the car out of park when you press the brake, can malfunction due to improper positioning of the switch wiring harness. A misaligned harness can press against the steering column U-joint assembly, ultimately wearing away the harness's insulation. Inspect the harness for worn down insulation and replace it.
