- 1). Put on your safety glasses.
- 2). Repeatedly spray engine degreaser into the threaded hole that you need to clean and allow the degreaser to flow from the hole to break down any heavy grease that has clogged the threaded engine block hole.
- 3). Insert the tap that fits the threaded engine block hole into the tap T-handle.
- 4). Place the end of the bottom tap into the threaded hole.
- 5). Turn the tap T-handle clockwise to thread the bottom tap into the threaded engine block hole.
- 6). Reverse the direction that you are turning the tap T-handle to remove the bottom tap from the threaded hole.
- 7). Spray the bottom tap to clean debris from the bottom tap and run the tap back into the threaded hole. Repeat the process until the bottom tap comes out of the hole clean.
- 8). Push the round wire brush into the threaded hole, twist the handle of the brush and pull the round brush from the hole.
- 9). Spray additional engine degreaser into the cleaned hole to remove any last signs of debris from the threaded hole.

Wipe the area around the hole with a clean rag to ensure that no debris re-enters the threaded hole of the engine block. - 11
Repeat the listed steps with each engine block threaded hole to ensure that all the holes are grease, dirt and grime free.
