- 1). Don't wash your hair for a day prior to creating the spikes. Comb it out before styling spikes. Hair with a little grease to it will take the style easier. If you have just washed your hair, dry it and spray it with some hairspray -- then comb it out to add some hold.
- 2). Decide how many spikes you'd like and section your hair accordingly. You can do multiple small spikes going out from all over or a few bold, large spikes standing atop and on the sides of your head. Clip the sections.
- 3). Separate the yolk from two eggs and place whites in a bowl. Do this by either cracking the egg onto a strainer or poking a small hole in it with a pen tip, then draining out the egg whites into a bowl. If you have long hair (past your shoulders), crack and separate
three eggs. Whip the eggs whites briskly for five minutes until they take on a thick white consistency. - 4). Unclip a section of hair and scoop up some egg white. Apply it by running your hair through your hand and pulling it outward into a spike shape. Apply a generous amount of egg whites from the roots to the ends and twist you hair at the tips to make a sharp spike.
- 5). Hold your hair out in the spike shape and blow dry it on medium heat for a minute to help solidify the egg whites so that they hold. Move on to the next section of hair and continue this way until all sections are spiked. Finish the look with coat of high-hold hairspray.
