- 1). Find a location for where you want to hold the mini golf tournament. The Ultimate Golf Tournament Planner recommends looking up, calling and visiting several mini golf courses around town before picking a tournament location.
- 2). Negotiate a price with the course on what it will cost per person participating in the event. According to Fundraiser Help, courses may give you a special discount if you get a certain number of people to participate in the event.
- 3). Select a date and time when you will hold your tournament. Make sure you coordinate this with people working at the mini golf course.
- 4). Advertise your event at least one month in advance. Fundraiser Help recommends posting an ad in the newspaper, in a local church's bulletin or newsletter and hanging fliers around town promoting the event. Be sure to include the date, time, location, contact information--including name and phone number--and all fees associated with the tournament.
- 5). Call family and friends and ask them if they'll participate in the tournament. This can help boost attendance numbers. Keep a log of names and phone numbers of everyone who wants to participate.
- 6). Collect money to pay for tournament and facility rental, if applicable, the day of the event.
