- 1). Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher. Turn off the electricity to the dishwasher at the breaker.
- 2). Pull out your dishwasher and unscrew the water supply hose to the dishwasher. Unscrew slowly to release water pressure, have a rag nearby to absorb the water. This water supply hose is screwed onto the inlet valve, you will notice another hose directly behind it.
- 3). Unscrew the hose that is directly behind the water inlet valve by using your pliers and turning counterclockwise.
- 4). Take a note drawing the wire colors and positions on the inlet valve. Remove the wire.
- 5). Unscrew the intake valve using your screwdriver. Usually there will be one screw holding it on a bracket.
- 6). Apply Teflon pipe thread tape to both sides of the new inlet valve and screw it onto the bracket using your screwdriver.
- 7). Push back on the wire ends following your notes to proper wire colors and positions.
- 8). Screw on both hoses to the inlet valve and tighten with your pliers by turning clockwise.
- 9). Test for leaks by running a cycle.
