Instead of throwing all those Christmas cards, you can choose to recycle it instead.
Bring out your creativity and you might be surprised on what you can do.
Here are the materials you should prepare: old cards, ruler, scissors, glue, soft colored paper or tissue paper, tape (optional), and white paper (optional).
Once you have gathered all the materials, it is time to create your own personalized boxed cards for Christmas.
Step 1: Cut the cards using the fold line as your guide.
Use all the cards that have pictures on it as your cover.
Step 2: Measure 2" or more, depending on your desired wall thickness on all sides of your cards and draw a line from one end to the other.
Step 3: Cut the cards crosswise on the shorter side where your lines intersect.
The cutting of the cards should also measure 2".
Do the same procedure to all the sides of your cards.
(The red line indicates where you should be cutting your cards.
) Step 4: Fold both the shorter side, followed by the longer side.
Remember to use the marked lines as your guide when folding the cards.
Step 5: Once you finished folding your cards, you will notice that there is a small flap that is sticking out.
Fold this flap towards the shorter side and use your glue to put it in place.
After you finish doing these steps to your cards, do the same procedure for the bottom part.
You could either use the white paper or the remaining plain area of your cards.
If there are writings on it, then choose the white paper instead.
You do not want other people to read what was written for you personally.
Remember, while creating the bottom part of your boxed cards, the size should be much smaller compared to the cover part so that your boxes will fit.
Once you are done, put the soft colored paper or the tissue paper inside the box and place your gifts on top of it.
