- 1). Apply a quarter-size drop of professional headlight lens cleaning product to a buffer pad. Use a small buffing pad that can be attached to any standard drill. A regular car buffer is too large for a headlight. Use any brand of headlight cleaner, such as Meguiar's Headlight Restoration.
- 2). Turn on the drill and place the buffer pad on the headlight lens. Work the cleaning product into the lens thoroughly without missing any spots. Spend about 1-2 minutes buffing each lens.
- 3). Use a microfiber towel to wipe all residue off the headlight lens, just as you would buff a car you'd just waxed. You should have a lens that is clear and free of scratches.
