Forensic science majors cultivate expertise in criminal justice, biology and chemistry, and anthropology. Forensic scientists collaborate with the criminal justice system to collect and analyze criminal evidence. Hit shows such as "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" have promoted the job market and increased visibility for graduates. Forensic programs prepare students for careers in academics, law enforcement, mathematics, security, and intelligence. Obtaining a degree in forensic science prepares students for well-rounded opportunities in which evidence trumps all else. - The Eberly College of Science's Forensic Science Program at Pennsylvania State University offers degrees in undergraduate and graduate studies plus continuing development for established professionals. Its interdisciplinary undergraduate program fosters collaboration among the College of Liberal Arts, College of Health and Human Development, and the College of Agricultural Science. Both undergraduate and graduate curriculums provide a strong natural science foundation. Master's degree candidates attend courtroom proceeding, research in crime facilities, and collaborate with local police. Guest lecturers and scientists attend the college's Professional development workshops.
