- 1). Keep the Stainless Steel Chamber Cleaner in the container it was sold in. Place it upright in a dry, room-temperature area, out of the reach of children and animals.
- 2). Locate the phone number for the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) or the regional office of the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the phone book or using your favorite Internet search engine.
- 3). Call the DEP or EPA. The DEP or EPA can either schedule a hazardous waste pickup to properly dispose of the cleaner, or can advise you of a location to drop off the cleaner to properly dispose of it. The disposal sites or pickup vary based on the region in which you reside.
