The closer the start of this year's Olympics comes, the more the organisers fear the weather. It has been raining for almost three months in the United Kingdom, and the amount of rain has gone seven times beyond the normal. This year is the second wettest for the last 150 years, and if the rain continues it might win the first place. The thing is, though, that the rainy weather might ruin the event, and that's what bothers the organisers. Although, meteorologists have predicted sunny days for the XXX Olympiad, the chairman of the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games Sebastian Coe and his subordinates fear of nature's contingency. And the worst thing is that they can't do anything to save the day, because they have spend the whole budget for the Olympics. Mr. Coe stated that they can't afford to built any more roofs, because they are out of money, and they don't know if the investment will return. Well, you should have thought about it in the beginning. We are all aware of the summer in the United Kingdom, why didn't you prepare for it earlier? Even if you start building something now, it won't be finished on time.
But the London Organising Committee and the London government are not the only institutions that have made investments. Every businessman in the British capital, every regular citizen has also invested money to prepare for the event. Most Londoners have paid for events cleaning London services, builders services, decoration and others, to prepare their properties for letting. If nature decides to give us rain instead of sunshine, a big part of the sports fans won't come at all or will leave early, and the investment of all these people will be useless. Moreover, the whole event will become a total failure and nobody will earn anything from it.
We must not give up, though. We must not think that our efforts are without purpose, we must fight till the end. So, Mr. Coe, do your best and try not to betray the trust of Londoners. They are all good people, whose profit will go in the economics of the city. Help them return the money the have spent for the services of events cleaners London, builders, etc., by preventing all bad scenarios for the Olympics. Prove us that you are the right man to lead the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games.
