- 1). Line the inside of the filter bag with a cheesecloth or microfiber rag. Secure the filter bag to the vacuum.
- 2). Connect the vacuum pole to the vacuum head by threading the female threads on the pole into the male threads on the vacuum head.
- 3). Thread the coupler on the garden hose onto the garden hose adapter on the vacuum head.
- 4). Connect the other end of the garden hose to a spigot.
- 5). Place the head of the vacuum into the water and turn on the spigot.
- 6). Place the vacuum head against the sidewall of the pool and vacuum top to bottom. Overlap subsequent stoke by 50 percent until you vacuum the entire pool wall.
- 7). Place the vacuum on the floor of the pool and vacuum just as you would with a regular vacuum. Start at one end of the pool and work your way from side to side moving backwards as you work you way across the pool.
- 8). Empty the filter bag when it fills with debris and algae. Rinse off the cheesecloth and place the cheesecloth back into the bag before continuing the sweeping process.
