- 1). Place the washing machine roughly in the location you plan to keep it. The levelling legs will be adjusted to the floor beneath the appliance.
- 2). Place a spirit level parallel with the front and then the side to take a balance reading. The bubble should float between the markings in each position.
- 3). Move the appliance forward a few inches and tip it backwards to raise the front levelling legs off the ground.
- 4). Turn the front levelling legs using an adjustable wrench to extend or retract them from the washer. Extend the left leg if the bubble was too far right,or extend the right if the bubble was too far left.
- 5). Remove the block and let the front of the washing machine touch the ground. Repeat the process at the back, propping the appliance up with a wooden block and adjusting the legs.
- 6). Adjust the front and back levelling legs equally to adjust the front to back balance. Check your progress as you work, using the spirit level. It might take several adjustments until you find the proper balance.
