Language is for the most part our interface to other people, to the world and to ourselves—it even is the interface to an email account like Gmail. Though there are a few pictograms that are hopefully easily understood, much of Gmail relies on words.
Now, while English is obviously a language you are comfortable with, it may not be "your" language. My mother tongue, for example, is the Austrian version of German.
I am lucky. German is one of the languages natively supported by Gmail. Finding out if you are lucky, too, and making your language Gmail's (or just seeing what Gmail looks and reads like in Korean) is easy.
Use Gmail in Your Language
To use Gmail in your language:
- Click the Settings gear icon (?) in your Gmail navigation bar.
- Select Settings from the menu that has appeared.
- Settings, if Gmail is not currently set to display the menu in English, is the fifth menu item from the top.
- Make sure you are on the General tab.
- Select the desired language under Language: Gmail display language.
- Click Save Changes.
