Call me crazy if you want but I always like to look on the bright side of things, perhaps it goes back to my father's or his father's philosophy of life.
And that goes for whatever is happening, whether it's a terrible tragedy, major catastrophe, or just a little inconvenience in my life.
Take the British Petroleum oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico for instance, they say that it will take years for the environment to heal, and get back to normal and that maybe true, at least in some areas.
But did you know that lobsters are attracted to petroleum distillates, crude oil, and even spilt diesel fuel? It's true.
Therefore, maybe after the oil leak is fixed, and BP is well under way with their cleanup - that the lobsters will come in mass, and maybe they will reproduce faster, because they like that type of environment.
We all love lobsters, they are tasty, and delicious.
And, the lobsters in Massachusetts are having a problem with a disease which makes their shells weaker.
No one knows why for sure but it is estimated, or at least suspected and theorized that some of it is caused from the nitrates running off from the farmlands into the ocean, off the coast in MA.
Now then, some studies need to be done to make sure it's okay to eat those lobsters that are soaked in oil, or that come because they enjoy that smell and environment.
Also, studies need to be done to see if the mixture of methane, natural gas, and crude oil altogether, along with the chemical disbursements which were thrown on top of the oil spill affects the lobsters, or make them poisonous to eat.
These are all things I would like to know, because I loved the lobsters.
The more lobsters we have the lower the overall price, and it will put all the fisherman back to work, and provide us more seafood too.
Right now, many seafood restaurants are severely hurt and consumers are not buying as many fish products in the grocery stores.
People just aren't sure where the fish are coming from, and the chances are they aren't coming from the Gulf anyway, they're probably coming from some worse off place like China, where the pollution is unbelievable, it's like they have a Gulf oil spill in all their coastlines ever day with dead zones over 450 square miles off the coast no matter where you finish.
Or, the fish we buy in the grocery stores come from Peru, or Alaska.
Anyway keep thinking positive thoughts and we will get through this.
