Quick Tips About Bottom Freezer Refrigerators

With so many new styles of refrigerators hitting the market today it is a difficult decision to come to when purchasing a new one.
There are built in refrigerators, side by side refrigerators, counter depth refrigerators, and the list goes on.
One of the most popular refrigerators deviate from the norm: the bottom freezer refrigerator.
These fridges are the perfect energy conservation appliance in that you are better able to regulate your fridges temperature with the freezer on the bottom.
This is of course if you do not have a lot of things to store in your freezer.
The bottom freezer component is usually designed like that of a crisping drawer.
It will have its own temperature dial depending on the model but will have limited space.
For a small family, bachelor(ette), or someone who stores the bulk of their meat elsewhere, this can be the perfect thing.
However, if you need a lot of freezer space then a top freezer will be the better model for you.
Some styles of these bottom freezer refrigerators even come with the freezer detached.
This occurs most often when you buy a built-in or counter depth refrigerator.
Just like a warming drawer to an oven, the freezer will come as a separate component although it will be installed within the same space as the fridge.
This also helps to conserve energy.
Having the freezer on the bottom will also help to regulate the temperatures of the bottom drawers in the refrigerator: the vegetable and meat drawers.
Your veggies will stay crisper and your meat at a healthy cool temperature.
These bottom drawer refrigerators come in a variety of styles-stainless steel being the most popular.
These steel appliances are easy to handle and easy to clean.
They provide a classy, chic, streamlined décor to any kitchen and give your kitchen a very modern appeal.
In fact they have become more popular than the side by side refrigerator which consists of the freezer component and fridge component sitting next to one another.
Again though, if you are looking for more space to store your food, another model of fridge would be your best option.
The bigger the fridge the more energy used and if you are living in an apartment, living alone, or simply looking to cut back on that electric bill than you should look into buying a refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom.
These bottom freezer refrigerators can be pricier than your standard model and it has the downside of having to bend over every time you wish to retrieve a frozen product, but despite this they are still a favored option, mainly because in the end their pros outweigh their cons by far.
So again, if you are remodeling your kitchen or looking to replace your old beat up refrigerator, take a look at the options that a bottom freezer refrigerator offers.
You may find that this style of ice box is exactly what you need in your kitchen.
