- 1). Unplug the power cord of the washer from the electrical outlet before attempting to repair the motor coupler. Locate the screws on the front of the control console on both ends.
- 2). Unfasten the screws on the front of the control console with a screwdriver. Remove the end caps from the control console and flip the console back so it is resting on the rear hinges.
- 3). Unplug the top lid switch that sits underneath the control console, pulling the switch straight up by hand. Pry up the metal clips on the top of the washer lid with a screwdriver and then set them aside.
- 4). Lift the top lid off the washer base, setting the top out of the way. Locate the pump at the bottom of the washer, near the front, and unfasten the two metal clips on the pump with a screwdriver.
- 5). Take the pump off the motor shaft and set it out of the way. Unplug the motor harness plug from the side of the motor, unhooking it by hand.
- 6). Unhook the two metal clips on the motor with a screwdriver. Tilt the motor down and slide it out of the washer base.
- 7). Remove the white motor coupler from the front of the motor with a screwdriver, prying it off. Pry the other white coupler off the front of the water pump with a screwdriver.
- 8). Place a new white plastic motor coupler over the motor shaft against the motor with the prongs facing away from the motor. Slide the black rubber motor coupler over the shaft so the prongs in the white coupler fit inside the holes in the black rubber coupler.
- 9). Connect the second white plastic motor coupler over the motor shaft so the prongs are facing the black rubber coupler. Place the motor back into the washer base and secure it with the metal clips.

Plug the electrical wiring harness into the side of the motor. Slide the water pump over the motor shaft, securing the pump with the metal clips. - 11
Place the top lid over the washer base and secure it with the metal clips on the top of the washer. Plug the top lid switch into the washer top by hand. - 12
Flip the control console back down over the top of the washer. Place the end caps on the sides of the console, securing the console with the screws in the front. - 13
Plug the power cord of the washing machine into the electrical outlet.
