- 1). Turn off the engine. Place the transmission in park (automatic) or first gear (manual). Set the parking brake and open the hood. Disconnect the negative battery terminal using the battery terminal wrench.
- 2). Locate the throttle position sensor. It is mounted on the side of the throttle body, on top of the intake manifold.
- 3). Disconnect the throttle position sensor's electrical connector. Remove the torx mounting screws from the throttle position sensor that connect it to the throttle body. Remove the throttle position sensor from the throttle body.
- 4). Reverse Steps 1 through 3 to complete the procedure. Installation of the replacement throttle position sensor is performed in reverse order of the removal.
