- 1). Unscrew the ball nut at the top of the lantern.
- 2). Remove the ventilator and the Pyrex glass globe.
- 3). Tie the mantle strings in a knot around the burner cap groove with a flat side of the mantle facing the gas generator.
- 4). Even out the mantle folds and cut away any leftover string.
- 5). Replace the glass globe and ventilator. Secure with the ball nut.
