Harmful By-Products in Your Pet"s Food and Products

As a pet lover, you shop for the healthiest pet food, treats and products available. You want peace of mind knowing that you are feeding your pet's products that will enhance their lives, not detract from them. When you buy your pet's products at the store, boutique or pet food store, you read the labels and pick out what you feel has the highest quality ingredients for your pets.

If you see by-products on the label beware. By-products are left over remnants of slaughtered meat that are not fit for human consumption. Pet food companies use by-products as a source of cheap protein. These by-products are tossed into piles and left for days with no protection from the weather or unscrupulous people. There have been reports of broken glass and tacks mixed in with by-products.

Higher quality pet foods do not contain by-products. Loving pet parents do not want to feed their pets food that is not fit for human consumption. They want to feed their pets products that are healthy and nutritious.

By-products can include but are not limited to:

€ beaks

€ feathers

€ bones and heads

€ hooves and claws

€ fur

€ spleens and other inedible organs

Meat by-products can be any type of animal. These by-products can be from dead, diseased, dying and/or drugged animals.

A few of these meat sources are:

€ road kill that was laying in the hot sun for days

€ diseased pets that were euthanized at pet clinics

€ diseased livestock, including chickens from farms

€ rancid out of date meat from supermarkets, including the Styrofoam and wrapping

You have the power to control your loved pet's health. When looking to buy products, make sure they do not contain by-products. By-products will bring illness and early deaths to your pets.

Arm your pets so they live long, healthy lives. Feed your pets high quality products with nutritious ingredients. Look for pet products that contain vitamins and minerals.

Feed your pet's products that have complete protein sources from a high quality protein. If you arm your pets with healthy products that do not contain by-products, you will have less Veterinarian bills. Not only that but your loved pet family will be given less harsh chemicals in a vain attempt to make them well.

Choose to deal with companies who have high safety standards with strict quality control. Read your pet food and product labels. Your purchases have a huge impact on the pet food industry. If you refuse to buy tainted, old products, the pet food companies will have to abide by your wishes and start producing pet products that are healthy.
