Alpha Dogmacising Our Personal Pack: Strength From Strength

Now think of your personal pack - we all have many facets & dimensions to our being - which create our reactions, behaviors, habits...
that hopefully operate symbiotically creating a balanced pack - reflected in our personality that greets the outside world.
Strong is the real sexy - sexy from within - that je ne sais quoi we exude.
Our aura emanating is our Maslow self actualized self in high strut mode.
Don't misunderstand me - that self doubt, fear, those insecurities serve a crucial aspect to moving and keeping us to the front of our personal pack.
They keep us on our paws - there is nothing more obnoxious that a self absorbed, conceited, pompous jerk.
Those self questioning emotions keep us striving for self betterment - internally & externally.
We keep checking the rear view mirror for power opps, finding ways to keep our strongest, most productive, sharpest self at the front of the pack.
And yes - of course this comes down to...
fitness - our measurement of health, physical, psychological & emotional stamina.
I am not a huge fan of "exercise prescription" and all of those campaigns out there treating fitness as another miserable, onerous task in our lives.
We must find time, we must, we must...
We always find an excuse to procrastinate doing those "musts" we don't want to do.
Naysaying arm wrestles positive action.
We all know exercise is important for every aspect of our health, but great blood work & disease prevention is not a tangible to motivate everyone, but just about all of us are captivated by life's sensual pleasures.
Rather - I prefer to model fitness & strength as a means of self love & respect - bringing us to the front of our personal pack - a reward that pushes us to new heights of physical, sensual, psychological, emotional & spiritual exhilaration & ecstasy.
Endorphins are released in response to physical & psychological thrills & accomplishments.
I always say being a fitness professional is as popular as being a parent - nobody wants to hear what you have to say...
However, one of the most rewarding aspects of being a fitness professional is infecting people with my very contagious form of muscle mania - strength training.
Whether it be working with those fighting cancer, women who insist muscles are for men (a hot button for me!) introducing people to their true BFF in life - strength - propels me to the front of my personal pack.
Let's do an obscenely, quick review of those beautiful hunks of slow twitch & fast twitch fibers: Pump our Immune system Major part of the Metabolic equation Sugar uptake from the blood into the cells keep us standing, moving...
Look sooooo good...
So much of our unwanted aging process is from the loss of muscle mass, both aesthetically & from a perspective of developing chronic illness.
Neither are genetic doom - much is in our power.
Our health is like technology - we only appreciate it when its not functioning correctly.
Unfortunately, we completely take it for granted when everything appears to be working.
Sarcopenia: the fancy medical term for use it or lose it - our muscle mass that is.
By our mid 30s are muscle mass gets bored, loses patience with us and takes off if we don't challenge it to greater use.
Strength train - and no strength training does not have to be in a gym, and we do not have to become one of those ripped freaks on magazine covers - most have no idea the hours, discipline that goes into that physique - but that is NOT what is required to show appreciation for our muscle mass.
We don't have to gain weight uncontrollably as we age - as our muscle mass sulks away from our metabolic equation - science geekily known as TEA Thermal Effect of Activity ( greater muscle mass greater thermal effect) the body requires less calories (energy) to function.
A spiteful revenge from the strength denied body.
Strong is the real sexy - not just a superficial facade created by thousands of dollars haphazardly thrown with prayer (to a belief in marketing jargon) to cosmetics et al.
That mystique we exude is our own unique combination of pheromones, beauty, confidence, our balanced inner ecosystem emitting energy & intrigue.
Strength is nurtured by testosterone.
Testosterone is a strong force to the front of our personal pack.
So ladies & gentlemen, strength train to build testosterone, to lead your own pack.
And gotta say it...
all that pumping won't do a thing, if exercise doesn't have its life mate - good nutrition.
Exercise & nutrition are the greatest love affair of all time - one just can't live without the other.
There is no get out of jail for free card to health & fitness.
Its about the love, dedication, pursuit & passion for our strong, sensual self.
