A Notorious Dieter"s Story of Her Family"s Success

I have tried every diet.
You name it and I tried it (except for the cabbage soup one).
I have lost weight with all but they in my opinion were just that...
diets.
Once you lose weight you can continue on eating what you like.
Then when I had grown out of my size 10 pants (I am only 5 feet tall), I knew it was time to change my eating habits.
It was time to find a new way of life and give up the McDonald's and Dunkin Donuts lifestyle.
After doing much research, I choose The Diet Solution Program by Isabel De Los Rios.
In Isabel's Diet Solution Program, she promises you that you will melt away fat.
Simply implement three easy tips and the fat will melt away.

Well, I don't think it is quite that easy, but what I have found is that this system is much more "livable" than the other diets I have tried.
Oh, and I have tried many, many diets...
When people find out that I am doing Isabel De Los Rios diet, some of the biggest question I get is: Is it a scam? I say NO the DSP Diet is NOT a scam! It is a real diet, with science and statistics to back it up.
It seems safe as they promote a healthy way of eating vs.
calorie restriction, fad foods nor does it restrict any one food group.
The diet is strongly promotes and encourages eating vegetables, fruits and lean proteins.
What is the Diet Solution Program really about? Simply put the DSP is all about eating "real food".
My take on the program is that if you cut out the Non-Food and add Real Food, your body will in fact be able to do what it should be doing, burning the fat and keep the good stuff.
The problem of late is that there are so many "non food" substances in our food that our body just doesn't know what to do with it.
So our bodies are not running in the best way.
Personally do not know the exact science behind this...
I am just one person who has been on the diet for 4 weeks and attribute her new figure and new found energy to the Diet Solution.
What are the 3 Foods that Help You Lose Weight? Honestly, I am not quiet sure...
there are so many changes I have learned that it is hard to pinpoint just 3, but I will try: kale is a super food as is apple cider vinegar (not just any apple cider vinegar) and the last one is coconut oil...
Also I am using a lot more coconut milk for my cooking.
Also, I have found fantastic substitutes for my flour, sugar, and bread...
all these can be used to alter many of my baking recipes.
Oh and one more thing...
did you know that Soy does not offer Is the Diet Solution an Actual Diet? Yes, because you will lose weight while following Isabel's guidelines and pre-developed food plans.
AND No, because unlike a "diet plan" this is more of a lifestyle change (one that you can live by).
You may chose to follow her guidelines and meal plans or take what you have learned and create your own meal plans.
What do you get to eat on the diet? Right...
it is always about what do you GET to eat when you chose a diet.
Well you get to eat a whole lot of veggies, fruits, proteins, and yes...
grains.
Plus there are a few desserts and ideas to help curve that sweet tooth.
Remember, the point of this diet is for it not to be a diet.
It is to become your life.
So what you get to eat is really what you feel like eating.
The diet does change what you crave and you will crave food that is better for you.
There are also many alternatives to the "bad foods".
So don't fret, you will be able to eat, even if you are a picky eater.
Water is also an important part of this diet...
water, water, water...
You have heard it before and with this diet it is no different.
You will need your eight plus 8 oz glasses of water every day.
Here is the last bit...
ORGANIC is best.
All though it is not going to happen in one shopping trip, the idea is to eventually buy organic food first.
Our household is on a budget, so for us we are slowly making the transition to an organic lifestyle.
Also in the past month I have found many new places to find coupons and even the grocery stores are offering a small section of organic sales in their flyers.
I know it is expensive, but it is what is better for you...
so just remember, organic is best.
I will say, it certainly makes grocery shopping easier.
I only shop in the organic section at our local Stop and Shop.
Is This a Calorie Restriction Diet? No, it is not, but you do want to keep an eye on how much food you consume.
What About Exercise? Really, you have to ask? Yes, but this diet is not centered around exercising, but we all know we should.
Have You Lost Weight? Yes, thank you very much...
4 weeks in I have lost 6 lbs.
More importantly I have fit back in my jeans and I feel GREAT! I get to eat yummy food and I am not hungry.
I have done other diets and have always lost a few pounds, but never 6 and I never stayed on them for longer than a few weeks.
I was always starving on Weight Watchers, and the second I introduced carbs back into my diet like on South Beach and Atkins, I would stop losing or gain weight back.
I can see this as a long-term, no looking back way to eat.
I personally cannot be happier with this diet.
Now everyone has there own comfort zone and this diet may not be for you, but for my family we have finally found the line between dieting and eating.
We plan to live like this for a very long time.
