- 1). Cut off power to your old thermostat. Find the circuit breaker in your electrical box and shut it down for this area.
- 2). Remove the old thermostat from the wall by unscrewing each corner. Take note of where each terminal and wire are connected for future reference.
- 3). Hook up the wires to the back of the Dayton thermostat. Each terminal is marked and the wires are color-coded. "G" represents green, "R" represents Red, "W" represents white and "Y" represents yellow.
- 4). Hold the Dayton on the wall and drill new holes using the provided screws. If possible, utilize the pre-existing holes.
- 5). Return power to this area of the house. Wait for the Dayton to power on.
