Madurodam has hundreds of carefully maintained miniature trees and shrubs. Here they landscape a railway turnaround to keep it from encroaching into the visitor's view. Often they are used to divide scenes and keep a sense of countryside in some areas of the display. Without the trees, the models would seem stark, and not nearly as realistic.
