- 1). Lift the rear of the Landcruiser using the jack and put the vehicle on jack stands. Take off the wheels with the tire iron and move them out of the immediate area.
- 2). Unbolt the brake caliper from the rear knuckle with the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket and support the caliper by the J hook with the other end of the hook mounted on the chassis.
- 3). Remove the rotor from the knuckle using your hands, then unbolt the parking brake assembly from the knuckle with the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket.
- 4). Unbolt the bearing case using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Pull the axle shaft away from the rear end using your hands.
