- 1). Use the knife to cut the potato in half. Roll a piece of wire around each of your galvanized nails, and roll a piece of wire around each penny, leaving about six inches of wire trailing away from each nail and penny.
- 2). Stick a penny and a nail into each half of the potato. Connect the nail from the first half to the penny in the second half, with the wire extending from each.
- 3). Connect the penny from the first half and the nail from the second half to the two inputs for the light bulb. Current will now be flowing. If you use a tiny bulb like the ones used for night lights, you will be able to bring light from a potato.
