- 1). Open the door and place the contact plate against its bottom inside edge, across from the door frame. Affix the contact plate to the door with wood screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
- 2). Close the door. Mark a dot on the door frame even with the contact plate using a pencil. Open the door again.
- 3). Place a sending contact plate on the inside edge of the door frame, even with the dot you previously made. Affix the sending contact plate to the door frame with wood screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
- 4). Loosen the two screws on the side of the sending contact plate with a Phillips jeweler's screwdriver. Wind an exposed end of one wire each that is attached to the wireless alarm transmitter. Tighten the screws. If the wires from the transmitter are permanently connected to the sending contact plate, ignore doing the wiring.
- 5). Open the compartment lid on the back of the transmitter. Insert the correct number of compatible batteries into the battery compartment. Close the lid. Place the transmitter against the wall, next to the door frame. Affix the transmitter to the wall with wood screws going through the screw holes on both sides of the transmitter using a Phillips screwdriver. Close the door.
- 6). Place the wireless alarm receiver on your night table. Put batteries into the battery compartment in the same manner as was done with the transmitter, if the receiver uses batteries. Otherwise, plug the receiver's power cord into a wall outlet for power.
- 7). Press the "Syncing" button on the side of the receiver -- in some cases there is a "Syncing" hole that you must trip with the tip of a pencil instead. Press the "Syncing" button on the side of the receiver to connect the transmitter and receiver together -- if there is a "Syncing" hole, follow the same procedure as was done with the transmitter.
- 8). Rotate a knob or slide a selector switch -- depending on the make of the receiver -- to raise the volume of the built0in siren to maximum loudness. If there is a knob or button that turns on a light as well, activate this function also.
