- 1). Set a budget for the wedding. Like any other wedding venue, the cost of reserving the castle will vary on location, popularity of the specific castle and other factors. A set budget will eliminate any castles that are too costly.
- 2). Select your preferred castle venues that allow weddings. There are castles around the world, including in the United States. During the planning stages, make a list of at least three or four castle venues for the wedding. Some castle venues will have reservations for the day of your wedding, so having a few backup locations will help your planning go a little more smoothly.
- 3). Call the business offices for the castles. Castles that cater to weddings will have a business number available. Ask about your preferred wedding date. The wedding date might not be available for all the venues, so this will narrow venue selections to one or two choices. This is also the time to ask any questions about catering, costs for services beyond the reservation, reception location, normal weather conditions or any other concern.
- 4). Reserve the castle. Call the selected castle and make the reservation. The process will differ slightly between venues, but most will require calling and asking for a reservation. You may also be required to pay a deposit.
- 5). Plan the catering. Each castle is different, so some might have catering while others will not. The catering plan for the wedding reception includes selecting the cater, picking the foods for the reception and selecting the wedding cake.
- 6). Select flowers for the wedding. Flowers will differ by personal preferences and castle. A wedding can have flowers everywhere or can have flowers only in the hands of the bride as preferred. Be sure to ask the business office whether there are any restrictions regarding decorations (or any other restrictions, for that matter).
