I found out about this campground on a map, and I RV camped there in July 2009.
Describe your camping trip:
The drive, once you exit the highway, is very twisty and scenic. There are basic campsites, 14 with electric. A few of the basic sites on the hill overlook the trout stocked lake. There is an honor system sign in board and an office. The electric sites provided no privacy and were close together.
While it was very cool at night, I am sure the electricity is very welcomed during the day since there is little shade. The lake provides fishing, and we saw several motorized boats.
Pros: Great views from some sites overlooking lake. Great star gazing location. Interesting little campground.
Cons: Maybe too warm during summer days to not be in an electric site.
Nearby attractions: Bluewater Lake.
Further comments: Across the lake there are dispersed sites on the waters edge with horses and cows nearby.
